Laily Milani is an Associate at Rodriguez Strategies

Laily is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned degrees in Political Science, Media and Communication, and a Public Policy minor. All three of these disciplines support her daily role at Rodriguez Strategies.

Laily’s passion for politics, campaign communication, and policy analysis transcends her undergraduate years at Berkeley. Prior to joining Rodriguez Strategies, Laily had already developed her political communication, research and grassroots organizing skills in the non-profit sphere, holding positions at both California Common Cause and MapLight. During this time, her work focused on advocating for campaign finance reform, with a focus on promoting campaign finance transparency through sweeping legislation such as SB1439. Her familiarity with campaigning traces back to experience in social movement building and organizing voters in Michigan prior to the 2022 midterm elections, supporting low-wage service industry workers via issue-based advocacy. Laily’s former roles have also called upon her policy analysis and critical thinking mindset, contributing to a familiarity with policy implications as they affect clients at Rodriguez Strategies.

Aside from an interest in California politics, Laily’s multi-cultural background in a middle eastern household, while growing up in Southeast Asia, informs her knack for global affairs and foreign policy, specifically pertaining to politics in the Arab world. Outside of work, Laily enjoys exploring other cultures by way of local cuisines and travelling. She is a huge foodie, and loves to cook in her free time. Laily resides in South Orange County.
