Violet Coker is an Associate at Rodriguez Strategies.
In her role, Violet conducts policy research, manages client projects, and organizes the firm’s business development.
Violet conducts research reports on relevant stakeholders, legislation, politics, and press coverage for all clients and projects. Strategizing and organizing are her specialties, laying the foundation for creating an effective action plan. Violet also assists in the daily monitoring of city and county agendas, media and press. In addition to public affairs, Violet leads marketing strategy and communications for Rodriguez Strategies.
Prior to her work at Rodriguez Strategies, Violet worked in the nonprofit sector managing communications and event planning. She is an advocate for mental health policy and social justice.
Violet graduated from the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California with a master’s degree in International Public Policy and Management. Her master’s thesis focused on microfinance for minority women in Pine Bluff, Arkansas as a means of healing economic disenfranchisement. Prior to graduate school, Violet graduated from Hendrix College with a BA in French Language & Literature, minoring in business administration.
Violet is originally from Dallas, Texas and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
